Revision Strike + Shopping Spree
On Thursday..
I went on strike :P
Went to Harbourtown and had a shopping spree!
And I bought myself two tops :)
The rest of the stuff I got were mostly for my cousins..
It was about 90mins by express train..
*This is a Brisbane City to Gold Coast Train.. This train runs express to Beenleigh.. Stopping only at Yerongpilly and Loganlea.. Next stop is Yerongpilly..*
(Haha it kept repeating itself every 10 minutes.. :P
Can't get it outta my head liao)
When I got home I was too exhausted to study liao..
So I decided to leave everything for the day :)
On Friday..
Woke up and decided to start studying after an Uncle Toby's yoghurt bar :)
Not bad!!
Managed to finish two topics by around 4pm :)
Had lunch then went to downstairs to throw the garbage..
And I decided to take a walk around the block..
Had a brief glimspe of the Brisbane river :)
So pretty!!
*Falls in love with Indooroopilly*
:P hehehe~
Then I came back and took a 3hr nap! :P
Shiok man..
By the time I woke up it was almost 9pm haha..
Had dinner and went back to my readings :)
Today..
Almost the same thing :)
Woke up and started revision on Victimology..
Today's lecture on audio stream seemed longer..
But it's ok :)
I have only two more topics to go! hehe~
I'll go through one more later and go through the last one tomorrow :)
Leave Monday to look through everything again :)
Tuesday's the paper!!

Forensic Psychology Can (and Will) Kill..
I've been tryin to absorb as much as I can for this damn subject..
For some reason the mush in my head is not made of absorbent material -.-
If only the mush was sponge..
Hahaha what am I saying?!
Probably been doing too many readings for this dang subject..
As well as listenin to past lectures on the audio stream..
The lecturer really talks like he's the Psycho
One minute he's stuttering like someone who is mentally challenged..
Tryin to puke out the right words..
The next moment he's raving and yelling into the microphone
Like he was stark mad -.-"
Because this subject is the least structured of all my subjects
With no proper coursework or tutorials
We never got to apply any theories or concepts
So here I am desperately trying to make sense of the lectures and the readings
Because that's all we've got..
It's tons of information that we never got to process during term time -.-"
There is no familiarisation at all and I have totally no confidence..
It's exhuasting mental work.. but..
At least now I can say that I am halfway through this subject..
At least I've stopped collasping on my bed after every 2hrs of study :P

Where Dreams and Memories Merge..
Because of all the revision my body clock is in a mess
My eating times are messed up too..
And so are my sleeping patterns..
The past few days I wake up every morning
Lingering between the dreamworld and semi-consciousness..
I dream and remember at the same time..
Its hard to discern whether a dream was a real memory
The past few days I keep seeing my mum in those 'dreams'
And for a few moments I am tricked
Into believing she's alive again..
And that I can talk to her and that she can answer me..
And tell me everything's gonna be okay..
We hold conversations and its like nothing ever happened..
And then I remember something real..
Like how we went on holidays when I was a kid..
Or how I fell down when I was young and received a scolding..
And the dream about her dissolves..
It usually takes me awhile to separate the dream from the memory..
And I lie there with an exhausted mind
By which time the memories of SGH and everything else
Painfully flood back..
And before it gets too unbearable
I push myself to sit up and pull the curtains back..
Blue sky and sunshine and a radiant world flood into my room
It's another day :)
I have to get up and face it or I never will..
I have everything to live for
And it's the way she would have wanted it..
So I blog whilst I do my laundry
And get myself a cup of hot vegemite :)

Anyway it finally stopped rainin! :P
Guess that's the reason I'm finally smiling again :)
How not to smile when the sunshine makes my room look sooooo nice :P
I still got tons of revision though..
And a birthday party to attend this Sunday..

But I'm still kinda worried about the whole revision thing..

Faded
Sorry I'm not feelin very sunny today..
It's been raining since last friday..
Don't know where all that rain comes from..
My head is quite saturated with revision..
And I worry about being unable to revise everything in time..
Haiz.. me and my lousy resolve..
I keep pushing and pushing..
But everything is still slow going..
Hope I break out of this phase soon..
I was never like this in TP..
I used to be able to study faster and absorb more..
Oh well..

You hear her coughing in her room..
And you write her a lil note to say "take care"..
She pretends she doesn't see it..
You attend the same service..
You indicate you are going as well this Sunday..
But she walks on out the door wordlessly..
At church people ask her how she is..
And she says she's sick and she's been busy with her assignment due tomorrow..
You think "maybe that's why she's been acting so aloof"
Then you walk out of church together..
And you try and show concern by asking her about her assignment..
And she says "It was finished a long time ago lah."
This isn't the first time..
You'd think I'd be clever enough to shut my mouth by now..
Shut myself in my own room and put up signs that say WHAT THE HECK..
Live your own life..
I'm just here to help you pay YOUR rent..
I give up.. I'll back off..
You can buy your own soap powder and your own detergent..
Because such THINGS matter so much to you, self-proclaimed "Child of God"..
That you cannot come down to someone else's level and SHARE.. and FELLOWSHIP..
*sigh*
I know she is a nice person
(underneath all those germs and hormones..)
Which really makes me think about how many people
SAY they are Christians..
But NEVER get out of their comfort zone..
They NEVER even look at their relationships with other people..
Our Love for Christ is suppose to REFLECT in those relationships!
This is why I am SO turned off the whole Church thing..
Turned off lah.. just turned off..
So..

Something is wrong with me!!
Haha :P
Everytime I do about 2hrs of revision..
I get so tired out..
Then I'll collaspe onto my bed..
And fall asleep!

Fight or Flight
This embarassing (real life) incident happened last Monday..
And I've only just felt comfortable sharing it on my blog :P
I was at the mall across the road buying groceries and walking around
And my brain went into "standby mode"..
Like I normally do when I am alone :P
I had somehow decided to buy some pasta at the food court for dinner..
Because I was tired of cookin :P
And the pasta looked soooo gooooood lol..
When I paid for my pasta and turned around
I received the shock of my life..
Behind me..
Barely inches away..
Was this punk with tatoos on both arms
And I was wedged uncomfortably between the counter and him lol
He asked for the time and then for my number and suddenly..
Something snapped in me..lol!
Instinct told me to RUN! ahahahaha
Which I DID! LOL
I ran across the road (Thank God there were no cars - because it IS a busy road at times)..
And past the church..
And down the hill..
And through the side gate..
And up three flight of steps
And must have crashed through the double sliding doors!!!!
LOL by the time I landed on the couch I was a heap of hyperventilating mess lol :P
I was on the verge of collaspe! :P
Then I realised how horribly rude I must have been!! LOL
I feel damn sorry for the guy now that I can look back and laugh :P
The poor guy would never pick up another Asian girl ever again!
WAHAHAHAHAHAHA
He must think we Asian girls are freaks of nature that run at the sight of men ahahaha :P
Well lol :P
Obviously it's something to laugh at.. :P
Hilarious really :P
But well.. I just thought I'd just apologise to the guy on this blog lol

And make your innermost thoughts public..
You begin, after awhile, to wonder who actually listens to your whines and whims?
I was wondering about that earlier this week
And for those who haven't noticed
('cos its ultra discreet.. Damn ..sounds like an ad for Tampons! :P haha)
I actually "planted" (html-ly) a counter to track the hits on this blog
As well as another to track the traffic on my Photo Webby (link on the right hand column)
Also after I placed the counter, (co-incidentally or not)
A few people actually sent me messages
About some stuff I'd put up on my blog! :)
Really heartening to know that I actually have readers!
And on especially depressing days.. that I have people who care :)

Singapore 101
Just for laughs..
Some things the people here have actually asked me about myself and Singapore :)
And the answers I gave them!
1. Are you from Hong Kong, Japan, China or Taiwan?
Singapore :)
2. What type of houses do you live in in Singapore?
Most of the population stays in high rise apartments and I live on the 13th floor.
-comments- !&%@!%$@%!$ 13th floor?! That is insane! What if you fell off getting outta bed in the morning man?!
3. How big are your rooms; is there even space to lie down to sleep at nite?
*laughs* yes! they aren't really huge or massive but there IS space to lie down or we'd have to sleep upright!
4. Is Singapore flat?
Yeah actually it is quite :P Bukit Timah our highest "mount" is probably the same height as Kelvin Grove(the hill my campus is seated on) except it is smaller in base so it is steeper.
5. Do you have shopping malls?
Yeah *rolls eyes internally* we do.. We have whole streets full plus smaller ones in every suburb (they don't understand the term neighbourhood mall lol)
6. Do you have movies?
Yeah! Of course! And we even get them earlier than you do because geographically we're higher up north than you are :P
-comments- *grumbles* That's not fair!! Why is it that we get movies last in the world?!
7. Do guys ask girls out in Singapore?
Yeah (duh) would you rather they ask other guys?! :P
8. Do people have sex in Singapore?
Well I'm here aren't I?! *laughs*
9. Do people have sex as often as they do here?
Probably, but it's not something they flaunt as much.
10. What about gays?
What about gays? Well they are increasing in numbers but they still aren't legal.
11. Do you have farms with pigs and horses?
We don't anymore. Horses are bred for the sole purposes of racing.
12. Hey I saw somewhere with a huge and beautiful racecourse? Is that in Singapore?
Err? I doubt it :P We wouldn't have had the space.. and that's probably in Japan :)

13. Is the government really that strict?
Yeah they are.
14. You look like you come from a really well to do family? Do you?
Do I? *thinks* *frowns* *laughs*

Well English is the main language but not everyone is fluent. I just happen to be fluent because of my upbringing.
16. So you ARE from a well to do family!
Well I'd say my family is sort of Upper-Middle Class.. but my Dad is rich and I am not! :P
17. Do you have any beaches?
Yeah but nothing compared to your 90 mile beach, or to Sunshine Coast.. or to Gold Coast or to... :P
18. Is education compulsory in Singapore?
Yes until the children are 12 (here the minimum is 15)
19. Do you have minority groups?
Yes the population is mostly Chinese, then we have the Malays and Indians and other smaller race groups.
20. Is there racism?
The "problem" isn't as serious as it is here but yes there still is racism under the surface. Though you wouldn't feel it if you visited Singapore. We're forced to be amicable because we live in such close proximity to each other (on top of each other in high rise apartments).

Yeah.. definitely.. 9.5 in 10 people my age owns one..

Yes the population is mostly Chinese, then we have the Malays and Indians and other smaller race groups.

The "problem" isn't as serious as it is here but yes there still is racism under the surface. Though you wouldn't feel it if you visited Singapore. We're forced to be amicable because we live in such close proximity to each other (on top of each other in high rise apartments).

I'm growing old..
I keep feeling exhausted..
Either that or I get headaches..
I am quite troubled actually..
And there's been this cloud hanging over me for the past few days..
The tutor for one of my subjects just left halfway into the term..
Her visa expired and she had no choice but to leave the country..
I personally think that is bull shit..
Pure bull shit..
How could anyone employ someone to teach if her visa expires DURING TERM?!
I pay freaking AUD$8K per sem to study here for crying out loud..
The least they could do is provide the VERY basic thing: A TEACHER -.-"
Until now, they have not found a replacement tutor for me..
And I have to go to another class which is damn inconvenient..
But I am damn frustrated..
My project which I submitted two weeks ago is still unmarked because my darn tutor left!
And my exam is in a month's time too..
Haiz apart from this..
I guess it's the same thing that gets to me..
No the problem has not been solved..
No I can't stop being friends with you..
And please don't do anything stupid..
I will never forgive myself..
